Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a missionary organization. While it exists to strengthen and maintain the faith of those students who come to college as Christians, it’s primary focus is to reach those outside the church, to then root them in the faith, and to equip them to help reach still more college students while changing the culture of the campus they are ministering on.
Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a nondenominational student group overseen by the Assemblies of God. This means that our campus missionaries have financial, moral, and theological accountability to a major denomination. At the same time, our students may come from all types of Christian backgrounds. It is not our task to try to change anyone's home church. Instead, it is our goal to reach students for Christ and root them in the faith.
Our Five ObjectivesA Christian should Grow Devotionally. A Christian student should Think Theologically. A Christian student should Live Communally. A Christian student should Walk Wisely. A Christian student should Serve Globally. |
Our Five-fold StrategyWe are a community of Worship. We are a community of Mission. We are a community of Fellowship. We are a community of Discipleship. We are a community of Prayer. |

Ephesians 2:14 tells us that Jesus is our peace. He has broken own the walls of nationality and tradition that separate people. Christian community should be marked by the interaction between cultures. The work of God is larger than any nation can represent. So, it is our goal to build a community that encourages that interaction. This means that we not only encourage students from all nations to participate in Chi Alpha, but we desire to be a group in which students from all nations can serve and lead.
Transnational means “across” or “including” all nationalities. It represents the true diversity of culture represented each year on our campus. It also represents that all students, American or otherwise, have a great deal to learn from each other.
Our campuses contain thousands of international students. Together, we can reach them with the gospel.
